Frequently Asked Questions
How do I register my child for a program?
Registration is completed online through our website. Simply select the desired program, complete the required information, and submit payment to secure your spot.
If you need assistance registering, our Board Members will be happy to help at one of our in-person registration events May 2, 9, 16, 30, and June 6 at Rodman Sports Complex. Be sure to bring your player's birth certificate with you.
Does my child need experience?
No, we welcome players of all levels of experience.
What is included in the registration fee?
Registration fees cover league administration, player insurance, scheduling, officials, and facility usage, team jerseys, and team socks.
3s: $35
4-5: $45
U8: $55
U11: $65
U15: $65
How can I contact the organization with questions?
You can contact us through the email address, phone number, or contact form listed on our website. Our team will respond as quickly as possible.
When are practices?
Practices begin July 6th. Depending on the number of teams in each division, teams will practice an average of 2-3 days/week (usually Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday) until Opening Day.
When are games?
Games begin Opening Day, August 1. Regular Season begings August 3 and ends at the conclusion of Tournament Week (tentatively scheduled for the week of September 14). Games are scheduled for Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays; however, If weather requires us to cancel several games, we may need to be flexible with our schedules. Our goal is to communicate schedule changes with you as quickly as possible.
Who plays in Tournament Week?
Only U8, U11, and U15 play Tournament Week.
What equipment is required?
Each player is required to have his/her own soccer ball (sizes vary by age division) and shinguards. Players in U8, U11, and U15 must have official soccer cleats; players in 3s and 4-5 may wear sneakers or official soccer cleats. Each player needs his/her own water bottle.

Are volunteer coaches needed?
Our program relies on volunteer coaches. If you’re interested in volunteering, you can indicate your interest during registration or contact us directly.
How will I receive updates and announcements?
All updates are sent via email and posted on the website. Please also sign up to receive text messages!
Where are practices & games held?
CCYSA practices and plays games at Rodman Sports Complex, 2409 Blaney Road, Chester, SC 29706.
How are coaches trained or screened?
Coaches are required to complete background checks before being allowed to volunteer. We will host an annual Coaches Meeting to go over best practices, and coaches will be supervised and supported by Board Members as we move through the season.
What is the organization's code of conduct?
Essentially, treat one another with respect. More specific policies are covered in the CCYSA Parent/Guardian Pledge and will also be covered with all families during Meet the Team Night July 6.
Do you offer any discounts?
